“If shopping doesn’t make you happy then you’re in the wrong shop!” – Mimosa Rose
Keeping up with beauty maintenance alone is costly enough as it is. Being a university student is costly enough as it is. Shopping for makeup, hair, skincare, and fragrance only adds to the cost of being a woman, let alone a female university student. Which is why I think it’s only right that I share all the online discount and coupon codes I could find for various beauty stores.
Many of these are either through third party verification sites that are absolutely safe (all they do is verify you are student on behalf of the retailer through a student ID or email) or directly through the store via their website. Lo and behold are all the beauty stores I could find that are currently offering discounts to college students! Your welcome!

“I believe that happy girls are the prettiest girls.” – Audrey Hepburn
In 2018, Charlotte Tilbury was appointed lead makeup artist of the annual Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show and her words on the signature look she created were “It’s an angelic filter to enhance what nature naturally gave you and make you feel like a beautiful, celestial angel… A look that lights up the runway and casts a magic makeup spell on the world!!”
While every year there are slight variations in the makeup looks they did, the iconic bombshell aura remains present throughout. “This look is all about enhancing the most beautiful, dreamy angel version of you.” So here are the exact products they used and their more affordable dupes, to give you options! But either way prepare to feel angelic…
Disclaimer: None of the links included are affiliate links.
PREP ♡
The very first step (other than putting on a pink satin robe) is to prep your face.
Backstage for the angels, they had sheet masks, eye creams, moisturizers, and primers all curtesy of Charlotte Tilbury. All of these products have ingredients like niacinamide, shea butter, hyaluronic acid, and rose hip oil; all meant to give you a dewy, plump, and youthful canvas for your makeup. While all these products are highly rated (and pricey), feel free to use your favorite skincare items, preferably hydrating and imperfection-blurring to give you a flawless base.
EYES ♡
Now that our faces are freshly prepped, let’s move onto our eyes! What Charlotte Tilbury was aiming for was mesmerizing, seductive eyes which she achieved with bronzy rose gold eyes.
An essential technique she used was adding rose gold eyeshadow underneath your lower lash line to enlarge and define the models’ eyes. What was used on the VS angels was the Charlotte Tilbury Eyeshadow Palette, a warm, reddy browny eyeshadow palette with champagne inspired metallic tones to enhance the eyes so they look wider and more mesmeric! An equally gorgeous and more affordable dupe would be the Colourpop Sorbet Eyeshadow Palette Quad. With using small eyeshadow palette like these, you have all the colors you need so it makes the eye look much less intimidating to achieve.
This look is all about a healthy, happy, complexion of an angel. At the time, they opted for the Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter, which is a complexion booster, inspired by the glow of Hollywood lights. The original blush they used is sadly discontinued but it was a super creamy and pigmented blush stick in the shade Las Salinas, a bright rose-pink. And finally to bronze, highlight, and get that dreamy catwalk glow. they opted for the Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze & Glow Palette.
For bombshells on a budget!
An infamous dupe for the Hollywood Flawless Filter is the e.l.f. Halo Glow Liquid Filter and note neither of these products are a foundation alone but you can lightly mix them with whatever blendable foundation you have for a gorgeous glowy base.
After lining you’re going to go in with a gloss and they actually had two glosses they would use depending on the model. They’d either use the Charlotte Tilbury Collagen Lip Bath Gloss in Refresh Rose which is a very light almost-clear pink one or in the shade Pillow Talk, a deeper pink one. Two perfect dupes to give you that flirty but healthy lip would be the CoverGirl Yummy Lip Gloss in Coconuts About You and Twilight Beam.
And voilà! what did you think? Will you be trying out Victoria’s Secret inspired makeup? Do you think you will try any of these products! Let me know in the comments! ♡
“Make me a fragrance that smells like love.” – Christian Dior

Natural scents, I think that’s what I prefer.” Jennie’s must have fragrance that she absolutely adores is Paris Deauville by Chanel. Paris Deauville is a soft but lively and refreshing unisex scent that is both elegant and versatile with notes of basil, lime, bergamot, Sicilian orange, and rose. A gorgeous and spot-on dupe for this perfume would be Forbidden Grass by Oakcha.
So…what do you think? Whose signature scent reminds you the most of yourself? Do you think you’ll be trying out any of these perfumes? ♡Leave a comment, we would love to know! ♡

With the considerable amount of makeup products on the market today, it can be hard to be conscious of which ones are actually the best for you! Surprisingly many concealers are not ideal for preventing or avoiding breakouts. Luckily, we have done the research and the following have NO pore-clogging ingredients and thus should not cause breakouts.

“Where should one use perfume?” a young woman asked… “Wherever one wants to be kissed.” – Coco Chanel
A woman having a signature scent was no different in the 1950s and 60s. It’s always fascinating diving into the world of beauty in Old Hollywood glamour, but more specifically diving into the world of fragrances was an alluring investigative adventure. Conclusively it seems the scents of amber, powder, and bergamot penetrated the Hollywood air while stage lights and smoke penetrated the Hollywood sky.

Audrey Hepburn – L’Interdit by Givenchy
Among one of the first perfumes created by Givenchy. This warm floral fragrance was created in 1957 in honor of his muse, AudreyHepburn. Audrey actually wore this scent for a year before it was sold to the public! L’Interdit means “forbidden” in French. The concept behind the creation is the “thrill of the forbidden” and invites wearers to cross the line and embrace individuality. With feminine but bold notes of pear, bergamot, tuberose, orange blossom, and vanilla, this lovely fragrance is still sold and incredibly popular today.
Now while we’re all likely aware of Marilyn’s iconic “I only wear Chanel no. 5 to bed” moment. In 2002 it was revealed she adored another fragrance in private. Allegedly she would either have her personal assistant purchase six bottles for her and have them sent to her Beverly Hills hotel room. Rose Geranium by Floris London was her beloved fresh clean scent with notes of subtle rose, geranium, lemon, violet, and cedar wood. Now while the fragrance version is discontinued but the scent is still available in a bath essence for a luxurious spa moment. Perhaps this almost unisex scent did not fit the sultry bombshell image she chose to portray. Nonetheless, both are gorgeous scents.
What she would be wearing today – ‘REPLICA’ Bubble Bath by Maison Margiela https://seph.me/440gwVV
Joan Crawford – Youth Dew by Estée Lauder
Although American actress JoanCrawford had a few favorite perfumes, she claims this one in particular attracted her husband! Before they were married, they once were dancing and he told her that she smelled exquisite. This perfume is a spicy amber scent. Released to the public in 1953 and became almost an instant success among women at the time. This rich and deep fragrance blends notes of spices, lavender, coca-cola, ylang-ylang, and musk. Still available today but has been reformulated several times over the years and is definitely being overpowered by Estée Lauder’s newer and more modern fragrances but nonetheless is a classic fragrance reminiscent of the 50s and 60s.
Princess Diana – First Eau de Toilette by Van Cleef & Arpels
Although the beautiful PrincessDiana had a range of perfumes in her collection and has been said to have multiple that she loved, in January 2023, Prince Harry revealed in his autobiography that his mother’s favorite perfume wasVan Cleef & Arpels First and he actually took a bottle of this scent to therapy to help him grieve the loss of his mother. This gorgeous fragrance was launched in 1976 and is a fresh floral scent with notes of bergamot, aldehydes, black currant, peach, and lily of the valley. This classy, elegant, and enchanting scent was a perfect fit for Princess Diana.
What she would be wearing today – Estée by Estée Lauder Super Cologne Spray https://estee.cm/3Nblw43
Grace Kelly – Fleurissimo by Creed
In 1956, American film actress GraceKelly commissioned French luxury perfume house Creed to create the perfect scent for her to wear on her wedding day in Monaco where she was set to marry Prince Rainier III. The result is Fleurissimo; a romantic and dreamy perfume meant to complement the bride’s bouquet. This classically feminine, floral and fresh scent marries notes of violet, bergamot, Bulgarian Rose, Florentine iris, and jasmine. Still sold to this day and aimed towards brides everywhere to be worn on their most special day.
American film star RitaHayworth was not shy about showing off her absolute favorite perfume as she was often photographed spritzing herself with Guerlain’s Shalimar. This perfume is an amberspicy oriental scent with notes of citruses, bergamot, cedar, patchouli, and jasmine that creates an alluring and intoxicating aroma. Created in 1925 as a tribute to the royal love story of Pakistani emperor Shah Jahan and his wife Mumtaz Mahal and was named after Mahal’s favorite garden “The Gardens of Shalimar”.
Elizabeth Taylor – Bal à Versailles by Jean Desprez
Before she went on to release her own line of fragrances, British-American Hollywood actress Elizabeth Taylor had her signature scent that she could not leave home without. Bal á Versailles meaning Ball at the Palace of Versailles, is a warm and golden multilayered women’s fragrance reminiscent of candlelit ballroom dances. This perfume was an amber oriental scent with decadent notes of rosemary, orange blossom, sandalwood, and vanilla. Created in 1962, Elizabeth Taylor wore it on the set of her film Cleopatra, and also gifted the scent to Michael Jackson, who adored the scent and wore it for the rest of his life.
Ava Gardner – Fracas Eau de Parfum by Robert Piguet
Like a true femme fatale, American film star AvaGardner would spritz the stairway with a very special fragrance to lure her husband, Frank Sinatra to the bedroom after fighting with him. This fragrance was Fracas by Robert Piguet, an incredibly feminine and intoxicating white floral scent. This fragrance is a lush and creamy mix of notes of gardenia, orange blossom, tuberose, jasmine, and white iris. Fracas was first released in 1948 and is actually still available for purchase today and has been worn and loved by many famous figures over the years such as Madonna, Martha Stewart, Courtney Love and others.
There was only one perfume that the exceptional American actress Bette Davis would wear and it was none other than Le De by Givenchy, an alluring and sophisticated scent. Launched in 1957, this perfume is a woody floral scent. With beautifully balanced notes of coriander, mandarin orange, Brazilian rosewood, lilac and jasmine, this is scent has been deemed a classic that embodies this period of perfumery. It seems like after the wild success of L’Interdit, this fragrance did not make the cut for Givenchy and has sadly been long gone. More specifically, discontinued, reformulated, rereleased and then ultimately scrapped again.
What she would be wearing today – Chypre Sublime Eau de Parfum by Floral Street https://bit.ly/3V0WSFe
Vivien Leigh – White Rose by Atkinsons
Just like many of us today, British film star Vivien Leigh appears to have had a perfume collection as she was seen with several bottles on her dressing room table so perhaps she liked to mix them or she liked certain ones for certain occasions but this perfume in particular stands out for its uniqueness and sentimental value. Allegedly this was her mother’s favorite scent wore it after her. How sweet! This powdery floral perfume was released in 1860 with a very simple formula only using powdery notes of white rose, bergamot, and musk. While this fragrance has long been discontinued, a timeless feminine scent like this one is bound to be recreated over and over.
In 1967, Italian bombshell Sophia Loren was asked by a reporter what she likes during a filming break to which she said. “I like the smell of the sea, and I like Patou’s Joy, and I love the smell of stables.” This discontinued perfume is a white floral scent with notes of tuberose, ylang-ylang, Bulgarian rose, pear, and sandalwood to create a luscious and irresistibly delightful classic feminine scent. Released in 1930, this fragrance actually became one of the world’s first best selling perfumes and was once the world’s most expensive perfume. Many fragrance connoisseurs have claimed this represents French elegance and sophistication.
so Which fragrance are you most intrigued by? Do you think you will be trying any of these out? i’d love to hear what you think so let’s chat in the comments!♡
“Sleep, drink water, and treat your skin.” – Georgia Louise
It never fails to surprise me how rapidly the beauty industry evolves. A trend is here one week and gone the next, so who can really keep up? I feel like one is either completely unaware of the latest trends or is running behind to keep up. But in case your beauty routine does in fact need updating, here are five things the beauty world is currently ditching.
1. DIY food face masks
Making a concoction of items from your fridge and pantry may be fun but is not a necessity for your skin, by any means. In fact, beauty lovers have become more conscious of skincare ingredients than they were before. If you eat foods like bananas, honey, avocado, your skin will thank you. After all, skincare starts from the inside out so no need to put it on your face. And store bought face masks and sheet masks are still really nourishing and feel really nice on the skin so save yourself the time and the mess from this DIY.
2. witch hazel toners
So witch hazel toner had its moment of fame and then that kind of died down a bit after it turned out, witch hazel can end up damaging the skin barrier and causing excessive dryness over time. With that said, this is still a pretty popular and common ingredient and is said to treat acne, uneven skin tone, and sunburns and is meant to tighten the skin and soothe irritation. To each their own, but the overall verdict seems to be: don’t overdo it.
3. skipping makeup prep
Have you ever noticed in makeup videos done by professional makeup artists, the model’s skin is always super dewy and fresh?!
Doing your makeup with a clean face, clean hands and clean makeup brushes really does make all the difference. Use a primer or at the very least a moisturizer or some sort of serum to make sure your skin is fresh and ready for products! Not to mention, makeup brushes hoard bacteria which can lead to acne and potentially even a muddy look or muddy colors due to old product buildup. Ew.
4. not double cleansing (remover wipes)
We are still using makeup wipes, however… we’re not depending on them completely to give us a clean face after wearing makeup for several hours. The new makeup removing method is to use a cleansing balm and lather that on your face to melt off your makeup. This “double-cleansing” method has gained popularity due to claims that this is much more gentle on your skin and is effective in reducing wrinkles over time! So we’re keeping the makeup wipes to a minimum.
5. hoarding makeup
Makeup expires and being mindful is in. It’s fun to try new beauty products but mostly stick to your favorites. Owning entire boxes worth (or more) of makeup is out. Save yourself the money and space. It’s definitely tempting to buy every new product on the market but seriously, so much of it is the same product just repackaged…It’s kind of crazy how so much makeup on the market is only slightly different in quality, ingredients, and even price points.
So, what do you think? Leave a comment below sharing your thoughts and what you’ll be updating in your beauty routine! ♡
